Delta Rigging and Tools’ decision to move its headquarters to Shadow Creek Business Center means the Center has leased more than 50 percent of its available commercial and executive office space, according to SCBC officials.
Located less than a mile west of Hwy 288, the Shadow Creek Business Center is Pearland’s first class A building. The facility offers its tenants the benefit of close proximity to the Medical Center, Hobby Airport and downtown Houston.
Last week, Delta Rigging and Tools announced an agreement to lease 7,800 square feet. Company officials are finalizing plans to set up their company headquarters there.
“We now have 14 locations around the country, and it is important for us to be closer to the major transportation hubs, including Interstate 10, Hobby Airport and the Port of Houston,” Eric Johnson, Vice President of Marketing for Delta Rigging & Tools said.. “Pearland is centrally located to meet all of our needs and has a very attractive business climate.”
Delta Rigging and Tools is a leading maker of hoists, winches, wire rope, synthetic slings, accessory parts and hardware. They also offer services such as testing and field inspections. They serve customers and end markets throughout the Gulf Coast of Texas, Louisiana and the Rocky Mountain states.
The company currently has 25 employees on staff at their Lake Jackson offices. Those jobs will move to the new Pearland location. There are no current plans to hire any additional employees, company officials said.
“We’re excited to have Delta Rigging as a new tenant in the building,” said Matt Buchanan, Executive Director of the Pearland Economic Development Corporation. “We’re very excited about our partnership with the Shadow Creek Business Center and the tenants they are bringing to the building. I think it is going to be a win/win situation for Delta Rigging and the Shadow Creek Business Center for Pearland.”
Construction on the facility started in 2007. Last June, local officials and business leaders celebrated the grand opening of the building at a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Ed. Note: Delta Rigging & Tools will occupy the new office space the week of December 10, 2010. Please read the full article at:
